Session Summary:
Sam did an outstanding job today. We started our session out with a discussion of what he had studied in class last week (more on the uses of the ablative; the second conjugation) and what his teacher had planned for him in class this upcoming week (the third conjugation, both regular and -io). We then launched into our continued handling of Sam's two Grammatical Justification exercises, first the Present System, then the Perfect System, and Sam did a great job on both. We fit in a mini-lesson concerning the substantive (when an adjective can stand in for a noun, such as "boni" translated as "good men"—this is possible because Latin employs gender in its noun system). True outstanding work today, Sam—thanks so much!
