Session Summary
Tuesday, February 8, 2016
5:10pm to 6:10pm
Topics covered:
Ryan and I had a GREAT session this afternoon! After a brief review of the five characteristics of Latin verbs (person, number, tense, mood, voice), we did some English-to-Latin translation with which Ryan could practice his command of the first-, second-, and fourth-conjugation verbs in the present tense active. Ryan did a terrific job on the exercise. We then launched into our review of the third- and third-io-conjugation verbs, which behave a little more trickily in the present tense than their first-, second-, and third-conjugation counterparts. We ended the session with learning the numbers one to ten in Latin and comparing those to their French and Spanish descendants. Great job tonight, Ryan--thanks so much, kiddo!
