Session Summary
Friday, December 30, 2016
2:30pm to 4pm CST
Topics covered:
Mason did OUTSTANDING work today!! I threw a lot of material at him today concerning the ins and outs of Latin verbs, and he handled it all well. He struggled somewhat, but exactly the amount I expected him to, and it was clear he had a strong grasp of the five characteristics of Latin verbs, how any given conjugated verb distributes those five characteristics (namely, mood and tense belong to the stem, and voice, person, and number belong to the personal ending), as well as how to find any given verb's present system stem and, hence, the conjugation to which that verb belong, all essential pieces of information to know about a verb. Today's work also provided Mason with excellent practice using Numen's Word Study Tool, bar none one of the best utilities for any Latin student. Thanks, Mason, for your terrific, hard work today.
