Session Summary:
Yet another GREAT session with Mason! Wow, he has **really** come along in this command of this material. Today we continued our discussion of nouns and their cases and the functions of those cases. We had a number of mini-lessons: an "enclitic" language as opposed to a language like English that depends on word order; the idea of a people's "worldview" and how language is a window on that (for example, the sexism built into the Latin language); the political and legal status and meaning of the "paterfamilias" and his role and position in Roman society. It made for a wonderful and diverse session. Thanks, Mason, for another instance of your good, hard work.
