Session Summary: Kim and I took some time today during our first session to get to know each other, as people and as teacher and student. We discovered we're a good fit, in that we're both adult learners who have gone back to school to pursue careers. We talked about Kim's goals and expectations for these tutoring sessions. She told me she has an oral presentation on October 12th. The specific concepts we covered were the passé composé with both avoir and être as well as direct and indirect object pronouns. I told Kim I would research the equivalent of the Windows Alt Codes (which allow for easy typing of letters with accents, which are replete in French). We finished the session with Kim saying she might like a session tomorrow (Sunday) evening, to prepare for her test on Monday.
