Session Summary:
Erik did an incredible job tonight. I am very proud of him. He jumped right into our translation of the Latin passage "The Belt of Pallas" and took off running. He plowed through the breakdown of each word, then translated the first and second sentence into smooth, good English. We broke down the grammar of each word in the third sentence, then launched into the translation of the third sentence, which proved to be quite the stumper for the both of us. I was confident we had identified all the grammar in the sentence as correct. Making all that grammar work into a smooth, English sentence was another matter. By the time the hour and a half was over, we hadn't *quite* finished. I told Erik I welcomed and encouraged him to continue to work on it and to let me know, so that I can check his work behind him, which I'll do throughout the week. I told him I look forward to meeting with him regularly each Sunday. He said he was, too. Thanks so much, Erik, for your TERRIFIC work tonight!!
